Dalton Knecht made a strong impression during his debut with the New York Knicks against the Chicago Bulls. The 24-year-old former first-round pick scored 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds in 16 minutes of action. Knecht shot 4-of-6 from the field and made two 3-pointers, including a step-back 3-pointer in the final seconds of the first half.
The performance came after the Lakers waived him earlier this month. New York coach Mike Brown praised Knecht's scoring ability, noting his versatility beyond perimeter shooting, and highlighted his midrange game, ability to attack the basket, and passing. Brown had not planned to play Knecht but felt positively about his readiness for the opportunity. The rookie's debut provides Brown with additional options for the Knicks' season.
