Quinnen Williams is frustrated that the Dallas Cowboys have been unable to stop opponents on defense this season. The Cowboys currently sit at a 3-5 record in the 2026 campaign. While Quinnen Williams has been a bright spot for the defense, other defensive units have struggled. The Cowboys recently suffered a tough loss to the Arizona Cardinals, who had only scored 30 points in a game once all season. However, they managed to put up 33 points against Dallas, securing the victory.
Williams attributes the team's struggles on defense to his own team. He stated, "We're the problem. We're the reason we're losing these games. If we execute, we can be the reason why we win." Although Williams is a major bright spot with five sacks, 11 tackles for loss, and 29 total tackles, he acknowledges that he is not blameless for the defensive shortcomings.
"I'm part of this defense; I'm the reason why we've given up touchdowns in the fourth quarter. I'm the reason why we haven't been stopping the run as well. And I got to do better," he said. The Cowboys have an opportunity to turn things around in Week 9 when they travel to Indianapolis to face the Indianapolis Colts.
