Doha, Qatar — The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has entered into an agreement with GSM Education to manage the operations of the International School of Medical Sciences and Engineering. This marks the third international school to join Qatar's program aimed at attracting distinguished international institutions.
The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry, and Sean Robson, CEO of GSM Education. GSM Education will take charge of the school's academic and administrative development, building upon its established track record in managing educational institutions worldwide.
With an extensive international presence, GSM Education operates over 190 schools across the United States and has experience managing 11 schools in the US, as well as 11 schools in the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. The organization's educational offerings include advanced curricula and digital learning systems utilized in more than 195 schools globally, with students also having access to over 120 leading universities worldwide.
This partnership aligns with the Ministry's ongoing initiative to collaborate with internationally experienced educational entities since 2007. Currently, three international schools are managed by the Ministry: Qatar-Finland International School, SEK International School, and the newly added International School of Medical Sciences and Engineering. The Ministry's commitment to incorporating global best practices in education is underscored by this collaboration.
