A video clip of former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has resurfaced online, featuring the former FCT Minister discussing how to overthrow the All Progressives Congress (APC) from power. In the footage, Wike, who was governor at the time, urged opposition forces not to give in to the ruling party. He employed an analogy to illustrate the opposition's need to resist the APC.
Wike stated, "For you to remove this APC from power... My mother told me that when a madman flogs you, don't run. If you run, the madman will keep chasing you. But if he flogs you, take a stick and flog him back, then the madman will know how painful it is and start running." According to Wike, the APC requires individuals who will tell them enough is enough.
The current Governor of Rivers State is actively supporting the APC presidential campaign in both the FCT and his home state, pledging to ensure the ruling party secures victory. The video has been circulating on social media, drawing attention to Wike's past remarks on defeating the APC.
