England captain Harry Kane signs new Bayern deal

England football star Harry Kane has inked a new contract with Bayern Munich, committing to the German champions until 2029. The 33-year-old striker had just completed a four-year deal following his £86 million transfer from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023. During his time in Germany, Kane has been an absolute standout, netting a Bundesliga record 61 goals in 51 matches last season as Bayern claimed a league and cup double.

Upon signing his new deal, Kane expressed his satisfaction at staying with the Bundesliga giants, stating, "I feel right at home at FC Bayern. I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich." He further praised the team and manager Vincent Kompany, saying, "My whole family is very happy here. I was keen to stay. I’m now looking forward to the future and I want to win many more titles with this great club."

Kane's impressive performances have not gone unnoticed, as he was named the world's best male player at the Ballon d'Or ceremony last month. Kane has also been a goal-scoring machine for Bayern, tallying 156 goals in 161 matches and boasting five major trophies and numerous individual accolades. As England's all-time leading goalscorer, he has also represented his country with distinction, holding the record for England's all-time leading goalscorer with 73 goals in 65 appearances at the World Cup.
