Dar, Araghchi discuss regional situation amid Iran war

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi on Thursday to discuss recent regional developments. The two foreign ministers exchanged views on the evolving situation, emphasizing the importance of sustained dialogue and diplomacy to address outstanding issues.

Dar reaffirmed the need for all parties to remain constructively engaged, underscoring that active and sustained diplomatic efforts are essential to achieving lasting peace, security, and stability in the region. This comes amid renewed diplomatic efforts to end the eight-month conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran, which has disrupted regional security, affected global energy markets, and heightened concerns over the Strait of Hormuz.
