Busan named Best Culinary Destination in 2026 TripZilla Awards

Busan has been internationally acclaimed for its rich culinary scene, as it has been awarded the title of Best Culinary Destination for 2026 by the TripZilla Excellence Awards. This marks the city's second consecutive year of receiving an award from the Southeast Asian travel media outlet.

The Busan Metropolitan Government announced that TripZilla, one of Southeast Asia's largest digital travel media networks, selected Busan for its extensive culinary offerings, which include an abundance of fresh seafood and traditional regional delicacies. This accolade follows Busan's previous designation as Best City Destination in the 2025 TripZilla Excellence Awards, thus earning the city back-to-back recognition in two distinct tourism categories.

TripZilla, according to the city government, is a prominent digital travel media network covering Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia, attracting over 20 million monthly visitors. In this year's Best Culinary Destination category, Busan is the sole recipient of the TripZilla Excellence Awards, which celebrate outstanding tourism destinations and services. The award emphasizes the city's unique blend of maritime and other gastronomic delights.
