Senior BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy, representing Saran in the Bihar Legislative Council, has claimed that the party is not giving sufficient importance to Rajputs. Speaking to reporters in Chapra, Saran, Rudy stated that Rahul Raj, the Janata Dal (United) candidate who defeated Rajiv Pratap Rudy in the Saran Teachers Constituency, belongs to the Rajput community. He also alleged that BJP's own MPs and MLAs, including himself, aided Raj Rahul's victory.
