Argentina leave Messi’s No. 10 vacant for friendlies

Argentina will leave Lionel Messi's iconic No. 10 shirt vacant during their November international friendlies in a nod to the former captain's retirement from the national team. Head coach Lionel Scaloni made the decision, meaning the shirt worn by Messi for nearly two decades will remain unassigned during the upcoming matches against Uruguay and Costa Rica.

While the future of the shirt is unclear, Nico Paz, a promising young player, and experienced teammates like Valentín Barco and international stars such as Alexis Mac Allister and Enzo Fernández are all potential candidates.
