The 2002 graduating class of Adisadel College launched a Clean Water Hub project on the school grounds last week, addressing the long-standing issue of unreliable water supply on campus. With a budget of around GH¢4.6 million, the initiative aims to generate up to 540 cubic meters of water daily, serving an estimated 5,000 students, staff, and residents.
The project, which is expected to be finished by February 2027, will involve extracting groundwater, treating it through a multi-stage filtration system, and storing it in underground and elevated reservoirs. From there, a network of pipelines will distribute the water to the Upper School, Lower School, and Teachers' Flats. Headmaster Samuel Agudogu praised the initiative as timely, and called for support from parents, staff, and the wider community, pledging GH¢10,000 himself.
Santa 2G2 President Clint Yoosi Boa-Amponsem urged supporters to contribute to the project, calling it a sustainable legacy for future generations. Patrick Smith-Assan, representing the Adisadel Old Boys Association, described the water hub as transformational and urged stakeholders to support the year group's efforts. The Clean Water Hub will not only solve an immediate infrastructure challenge but also improve public health, sanitation, and the overall living conditions on campus.
