Former Osun State Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola has declared that President Bola Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar are beyond the age to run in the 2027 presidential election. During an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today, Oyinlola argued that both men should relinquish their leadership positions and allow younger Nigerians to assume the mantle of power.
Oyinlola recounted his own experience as a governor, when he had set a precedent that no individual over 50 should aspire to be a state governor. He reiterated that Tinubu and Atiku have done their utmost efforts and should now make way for the younger generation to lead Nigeria.
