2 Policemen Arrested for Allegedly Raping Woman Tourist in Swat

Two police officers have been apprehended in Swat following allegations of rape against a tourist woman who had arrived from Peshawar. The woman lodged a complaint at Rahimabad Police Station on Wednesday evening, accusing two unidentified men on a motorcycle. Swat Police promptly took notice of the incident, leading to the arrest of Station House Officer (SHO) Zahidullah Khan and his team, who utilized CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the suspects.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Waheed Mahmood, son of Badshah Muhammad, from Allah Dhand, Batkhela, and Muhammad Ghazanfar, son of Muhammad Safdar, from Chamkani, Peshawar. Initial investigations suggest that the suspects lured the woman, accompanied by her husband, into a hotel room, where they allegedly sexually assaulted her in succession.

They reportedly threatened the woman with death if she informed anyone about the incident. Police have confirmed that charges have been filed against both officers at Rahimabad Police Station.
