Yuneswaran: Deepavali expo boosts small traders while promoting racial unity through cultural celebrations

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 — Deputy National Unity Minister R. Yuneswaran highlighted the 24th Deepavali Carnival's (DC26) impact on local entrepreneurs and small traders, emphasizing its role in promoting racial unity through cross-cultural integration. The expo, which drew visitors from various ethnicities and foreign tourists, showcased the country's cultural diversity through cultural programs organized by the Indian community.

Yuneswaran noted that unity encompasses all races, religions, and cultures, making Malaysia unique. He observed that the expo provided new entrepreneurs with an opportunity to expand their businesses independently, complementing existing economic initiatives. The nine-day DC26, running from Oct 30 to Nov 7, featured 450 booths displaying Deepavali essentials and a variety of foods, with free entry from noon to 10 pm daily.
