West Ham United has appointed former captain Scott Parker as their new head coach, following the dismissal of Nuno Espírito Santo. The 46-year-old Parker signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the club on Wednesday, with his first match in charge expected to be the EFL Championship fixture against Cardiff City the following day.
Parker, a former West Ham midfielder, returns to the club after previous stints at Fulham, AFC Bournemouth, and Burnley, where he guided each team to promotion from the Championship to the Premier League. He also achieved manager of the season honors with Burnley in the 2024/25 season. The club announced that Parker will be assisted by first-team coaches Steve Potts, Gerard Prenderville, Billy Lepine, and former teammate Mark Noble. Further details about Parker's backroom staff will be revealed in due course.
