Walmart Is Having A 'Pokémon' TCG Blow-Out, And It's A Must-See

Walmart is hosting a special event on Wednesday for collectors of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, with a range of new and highly sought-after products on offer. The retailer is offering the Eevee-themed Ultra Premium Collection from the Pokémon's 30th Anniversary, with prices lower than those at both local card shops and Target. Walmart is selling six Pokémon products today, including five items that are pre-orders for items set to release on November 6.

These include products from the new Delta Reign set and some from the final batch of 30th Anniversary items. The sixth product, a box from the highly revered Prismatic Evolutions set, is sure to delight collectors. While there are mark-ups on most items, Walmart still offers a good deal compared to other major competitors and resale markets.

The UPC, for example, is $249.99 at Target and Barnes & Noble, and $399.99 at GameStop, but can only be found cheaper at Walmart and Best Buy. One of the products, a 3-pack Delta Reign blister, only costs a dollar more than the MSRP pricing. However, this is a raffle, and participants lose nothing by entering. Winners are selected randomly, and the entry period lasts for one hour.

Walmart will ship the products for free once winners are chosen. The retailer's move comes as the Pokémon Center and Best Buy have been struggling with bots and long wait times to purchase the UPC, which is scheduled to release in two days. Walmart's move may be the best option for collectors looking to get their hands on the product.
