Tulia football meets Floydada for our Game of the Week
Check out our list of the top Week 11 high school football games in the Texas Panhandle.
The week's top Texas Panhandle high school football match was between Floydada and Tulia, held on Friday at Younger Field. The game, dubbed "Game of the Week," saw Tulia, previously undefeated in District 2-2A Division I, one win away from clinching the title, face off against Floydada, who had just secured their first district victory of the season.
Tulia's offensive prowess, averaging 41 points per game, has been a significant factor in their resurgence under first-year head coach Trevor Cordova. Floydada, led by former West Texas head coach Jeff Smith, aimed to capitalize on their recent momentum and avenge a previous 46-14 loss to Tulia. The outcome of this game could have significant implications for playoff seeding and district standings.
