Traffic Plan Announced for Annual Raiwind Ijtima

The annual Raiwind Ijtima 2026, a significant religious gathering, will see the implementation of a comprehensive traffic plan by the Lahore Traffic Police. The event will occur in two phases, with the first phase from November 5 to 8 and the second phase from November 12 to 15. Both concluding prayers will be held on Sundays, November 8 and 15, respectively.

To manage the flow of participants traveling from various cities, seven designated entry routes have been set up, including Lahore-Raiwind Road, Sunder Road, and Manga Road. Furthermore, 10 diversion points will be established across the city to maintain smooth traffic movement.

Parking facilities for the event will cater to a substantial number of vehicles, offering space for 2,800 large vehicles, 5,400 cars, and 10,000 motorcycles. Lahore Traffic Police will be present in full force, deploying 1,103 officers and personnel to ensure a safe and organized event. The deployment includes seven DSPs, 203 inspectors, senior traffic wardens, and 866 traffic wardens and traffic assistants. Additional resources such as 15 lifters and nine breakdown vehicles will also be at their disposal.

Specific routes for participants have been identified based on their point of origin. Those traveling from Gujranwala via GT Road will utilize the Kala Shah Kaku Interchange on the motorway to reach Raiwind. Participants coming from Faisalabad and Sheikhupura will use the Faizpur Interchange, while those from Okara will take the NFC Interchange on Ring Road and Raiwind Road.

Throughout the event, participants will receive traffic updates via Rasta FM, the Rasta mobile app, and various social media platforms.
