Two people, including the suspected shooter, were killed following a reported shooting at Citibank’s campus in the Tampa area of Florida.
Tampa authorities reported two fatalities, including a suspect, following a shooting incident on Wednesday at Citibank's vast business complex in the Tampa area. Over 360 deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene, which is believed to be a targeted attack. The complex comprises four three-story office buildings, housing thousands of Citigroup employees.
Witnesses recounted long lines of workers exiting the buildings as they were escorted from the campus and parking garage by law enforcement. Sheriff Chad Chronister confirmed that the incident was deemed an active threat and that the authorities were clearing the building. Citigroup expressed awareness of the event and is cooperating with the investigation.
