The T100 Triathlon World Tour is set to hold its season finale in Qatar next month, despite the postponement of a race in Saudi Arabia. The conflict in the Middle East has caused uncertainty for various sports events, but the T100 Tour's races in Dubai on November 14 and Qatar on December 11 are still on track. The Professional Triathletes Organisation, which organizes the T100 Tour, stated that the safety and security of all athletes, staff, and suppliers remain their top priority.
The Saudi race has been rescheduled to April 2024 after a review by the Professional Triathletes Organisation, World Triathlon, and the Saudi Triathlon Federation. Despite the turmoil in the Middle East, other major sporting events such as Formula 1 have maintained their plans to stage races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi. However, the Qatar rugby Nations Championship in 2028 and sponsorship were canceled due to security concerns.
