SSGC Announces New Winter Gas Supply Schedule

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has unveiled a new winter gas supply schedule for domestic consumers in Sindh and Balochistan, in line with federal government guidelines. The new schedule includes three daily supply windows to cater to household gas consumption during meal times. The spokesperson for SSGC announced the changes on Wednesday, which now take effect immediately.

Gas distribution will occur during the following time slots: Breakfast from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., Lunch from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Dinner from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The company also made the schedule available on its website and social media platforms to ensure maximum reach. SSGC has been struggling to provide consistent gas supplies to its domestic consumers for several years, with households often unable to count on continuous fuel availability.

This new schedule aims to address the issue by prioritizing domestic consumers and ensuring gas availability during meal times. The announcement comes in the wake of a severe gas shortage in Karachi on Tuesday. Misinformation about the supply situation had been circulating on social media since Monday, leading to confusion. SSGC only issued a clear, consolidated statement late on Tuesday evening. The SSGC Announces New Winter Gas Supply Schedule story was initially published on ProPakistani.
