Sony PlayStation 5: Here’s Where to Shop the Gaming Console Before ‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ Drops Online
GTA 6 drops on Nov. 19, but it's not too late to pick up a PS5 to play the new video game.
The Sony PlayStation 5 remains difficult to find due to high demand, partly driven by the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI, which is set to launch on Nov. 19. This new game has caused a frenzy, with people purchasing PS5 consoles solely to play GTA 6 on the launch day. The economic impact is significant, with an estimated $1 billion in lost productivity as employees take days off to buy the console.
The PlayStation 5 is available in two main editions: digital and disc. The digital edition, priced at $599 on Amazon and Walmart, comes with 825GB of storage and is ideal for those who don't require a disc drive. The disc edition, available for $649 on Amazon and PS Direct, includes a disc drive for traditional gaming media. Additionally, the PlayStation 5 Pro is priced at $899 on Amazon and PS Direct.
For those looking for a budget-friendly option, the PlayStation 5 Portal is available for $249 on Amazon and PS Direct. Despite the challenge of finding the console, it's still possible to secure a PS5 ahead of GTA VI's release.
