Punjab Launches Electric Buses on 3 Routes in Another District

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated the Green Bus Project in Attock, unveiling a new public transport service designed to make daily travel more convenient for residents, especially students. The chief minister personally inspected an electric bus and evaluated the transport service during her visit. Currently, 15 electric buses are operating on three routes within Attock city.

Maryam Nawaz explained that the service would enable students to travel to colleges and universities as well as return home without any concerns about transportation costs. The provincial government has made the Green Bus service entirely free for students, eliminating any fare requirements. The electric buses serve various parts of Attock, linking residential neighborhoods with educational institutions and offering students an alternative mode of commuting.

This initiative is part of the Punjab government's broader strategy to enhance public transport facilities and reduce the cost of daily commuting for residents. With a fleet of 15 electric buses running on three routes, the service is anticipated to benefit students and other commuters within Attock.
