‘Make me rehearse till…’: Shah Rukh Khan’s request to King’s ‘Tu Mil Jaaye’ choreographers

Ed Sheeran revealed the story behind his collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan for the Bollywood film King. The singer visited Khan's home, Mannat, last year and made a request for a cameo in Shah Rukh's upcoming action drama. Khan agreed to the cameo and also asked Sheeran to record a Hindi song for the movie, making it his first Bollywood song ever.

Sheeran met composer duo Sachin-Jigar that day and composed and recorded his verse for the track "Tu Mil Jaaye" that same night. He shared the behind-the-scenes process on Instagram, expressing his excitement about working with Arijit Singh on the song. Khan shared the video and praised Sheeran's contribution to the Hindi lines of the song.

The release of "Tu Mil Jaaye" was timed to coincide with Shah Rukh Khan's birthday, and the music video was shared by Salman Khan on his Instagram stories as well. King stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone as a sixth-time collaboration for the actor, with Abhishek Bachchan playing the main villain. The film is set to release on December 24.
