Maimane emphasises the importance of the 2026 LGEs
Maimane urged South Africans to use the opportunity of voting to change their livelihoods.
Build One South Africa (BOSA) leader Mmusi Maimane underscored the significance of the upcoming 2026 local government elections. The elections took place at the Dobsonville voting station in Soweto, Johannesburg, where Maimane cast his vote as well. Speaking to the media, Maimane expressed his vote for Nobuntu Hlazo-Webster as the candidate for Johannesburg mayor, and for BOSA in his second ballot.
He implored South Africans to participate in the electoral process and urged them to utilize their voting power to address pressing issues such as service delivery, corruption, and unemployment. Maimane commended the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) for its meticulous organization of the voting process, which he believed provided South Africans with the opportunity to voice their concerns and make a meaningful impact on their livelihoods.
