Veteran NFL quarterback Kurt Warner lauded Tennessee Titans' Cam Ward after the latter's performance in the Titans' 37-34 overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Warner praised Ward's ability to compete against a strong Cincinnati offense led by Joe Burrow. Ward maintained composure and made crucial plays throughout the game, completing 25 of his 39 passes for 298 yards and two touchdowns, while contributing 18 rushing yards.
His decision-making improved, and he limited mistakes while handling pressure from Cincinnati's defense. The Titans' balanced offense, with Tony Pollard's ground game and the passing attack's key plays, helped them stay competitive in the late stages. The result was a reminder of Ward's potential as the franchise evaluates its long-term quarterback plans, with Warner expressing his belief that the young signal-caller can compete in high-pressure moments.
