Jewish midterm contenders Ossoff, Shapiro win respective reelection bids
Trump, his Cabinet officials, and political advisers are gathered in the White House East Room for a reception, watching the election results come in.
Jewish Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff secured his reelection in Georgia, narrowly defeating Republican Representative Mike Collins, according to AP projections. This victory brings Democrats closer to gaining control of the Senate, as Ossoff's win in a competitive race in a state Trump won by just 2 percentage points highlights the party's strength in key battlegrounds.
Additionally, Jewish Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro emerged victorious in the gubernatorial race, positioning himself as a potential Democratic presidential contender in 2028.
