Meena Sareen, a former mathematics teacher from India, has become an unexpected millionaire after winning the Dh25 million jackpot in the latest Big Ticket draw. Sareen, who has been residing in the UAE for nearly 18 years, was revealed as the grand prize winner during Tuesday's live broadcast. Originally hailing from Punjab, she now calls Dubai her home, sharing the life-changing news with her husband.
Sareen revealed that she has been participating in Big Ticket draws for around four years, purchasing tickets every month for over a year. The cost was shared with two other individuals, who will also share her winnings. When she received the call announcing her victory, Sareen described feeling a mix of excitement, shock, and disbelief, stating that she is incredibly grateful and still trying to process the news.
While deciding how to use the prize money is still in the early stages, Sareen has pledged that a significant portion will be donated to charitable causes and used to support family members in need.
