Santa Monica Studio has announced that the next installment in the God of War series, titled God of War Laufey, will be delayed until May 20th, 2027. The developer revealed this decision today, stating that the delay is due to their commitment to delivering an extraordinary gaming experience that meets the high expectations of fans.
God of War Laufey stars Faye, the wife of the main protagonist Kratos, who is once again portrayed by actress Deborah Ann Woll. This new game is set to be a departure from previous titles, focusing more on aerobatic action due to a 23-minute gameplay reveal earlier this year. The studio expressed their gratitude for the fans' excitement and patience, assuring that they will make the most of the additional time to perfect the game.
