GMKtec EVO-X5 Pro mini PC review: I tested large LLMs on this machine and the results and speed were impressive
The GMKtec EVO-X5 Pro is a mini PC ideal for pro workloads and running 300B LLMs locally with a Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495, Radeon 8065S graphics and 192GB memory.
The GMKtec EVO-X5 Pro mini PC is a powerful machine that packs in the latest Strix Halo CPU and features up to 196GB of unified memory. Despite its small size, it can handle a variety of tasks such as office work, video and image editing, 3D work, and even running 300B LLMs without stalling. It's available for $6799 or £5,299, and comes in a 2TB or 4TB version.
The machine has a sleek all-metal black finish, weighs 2.5kg, and features a fingerprint-locked power button. Its compact design makes it easy to connect to additional EVO-X5 Pros to create an AI-powered data center.
