The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has been made more affordable for its members by the mobility provider, GIGM. The company, headquartered in Gwagwalada, Abuja, has announced a 20% discount on all trips across Nigeria for corps members. GIGM's CEO, Dr. Enahoro Okhae, made the announcement at the official launch of the GIGM 40th Terminal.
The financial difficulties faced by NYSC members were cited as the reason behind the discount. Dr. Okhae pointed out that many young people are currently struggling with finding jobs and planning their future. He emphasized that GIGM's goal is to provide a service-oriented solution to help people feel satisfied.
GIGM's CEO also introduced two new products, HireX and Pass GIGM, which can be booked through their app. The app allows users to book air travel tickets, and for every ticket sold, the user earns a 10% commission. Additionally, the company offers car hire services to ensure a comfortable journey.
The Divisional Crime Officer of Gwagwalada, CSP Bilikisu Shuaib, commended GIGM for its strong security measures and assured the company that the organization can rely on their services. Assistant Corps Commander (ACC) Uche Amaku of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) praised GIGM's commitment to safety and promised continued partnership for staff training and safety measures.
