Frammer AI partners with Collective Newsroom to power BBC News video in India

Frammer AI, an AI-driven video production studio, has teamed up with Collective Newsroom, a content producer for BBC News in India that operates in nine languages. Frammer will handle Collective Newsroom's video workflows, including content repurposing. The partnership aims to enhance public service journalism by reaching more people through digital-first formats.

Frammer's platform automates key stages of video production and distribution, converting content into various digital platforms with a single click. Sara Hassan, COO of Collective Newsroom, emphasized that the collaboration allows the newsroom to deliver creative, credible, and courageous journalism efficiently while maintaining human judgment, editorial integrity, and public trust.

Suparna Singh, Frammer's CEO, praised Collective Newsroom for embracing AI responsibly with editorial rigor and strong brand safety measures. Collective Newsroom, founded by four former BBC India employees in 2024, now employs over 250 journalists. As the exclusive content provider for BBC News in India, it supports the television channel, nine Indian-language websites, social media platforms, and the BBC News India YouTube channel.

Frammer AI, established by the former management of NDTV in 2023, offers a platform that enables publishers to rapidly distribute content to meet social media demands. The company collaborates with major publishers such as ABS-CBN in the Philippines, Media Prima in Malaysia, Medialivre in Portugal, as well as The India Today Group, Network 18, and numerous other organizations in India.
