Font, the Austin indie rockers that Stereogum named as a Band To Watch in 2024, have released a new single titled "Cling" from their upcoming album American Bully XL. The song is a moody and synthy ballad that features guitar sustain and underwater keyboard sounds, evoking a similar astral drift to Bon Iver's records after For Emma, Forever Ago.
Font member Anthony Laurence shared that the song was created through a subtractive process, aiming to preserve ghosts and confuse source, rather than directly directing it. American Bully XL is set to be released on November 13 via Acrophase.
