Democrat Janelle Stelson wins election to U.S. House in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District
Democrat Janelle Stelson emerged victorious in the U.S. House election for Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District, unseating Republican incumbent Scott Perry. Stelson, formerly a local television anchor, highlighted Perry's stance on abortion rights and his backing of President Donald Trump’s tax cuts during her campaign. Stelson had lost to Perry in the previous election.
Perry, a former leader of the House Freedom Caucus, was vying for an eighth term. The Associated Press officially declared Stelson the winner at 10:41 p.m. EST on Tuesday.
