Carbon Brief's team of journalists provided a live stream coverage of the UN COP17 biodiversity conference held in Yerevan, Armenia. Orla Dwyer, Aruna Chandrasekhar, Dr Giuliana Viglione, and Daisy Dunne were all part of the team, with the latter two following the talks from Washington DC and London, respectively. The journalists discussed the major issues at the event, namely biodiversity finance and the first "global review" of progress towards reversing nature loss.
They took live questions from the audience, covering topics like "nature-harming subsidies," marine biodiversity, and the status of the Cali fund aimed at raising private-sector finance for nature conservation. The full livestream, including an "ask me anything" session, is now available on YouTube.
