Heavy night rain triggered flash flooding in several areas surrounding Shah Alam early this morning, leading to several major roads being inundated and causing disruptions to traffic flow. Social media users shared real-time updates via the Threads application, highlighting the flood situation at various locations, including Sections 13, Setia Alam and Section 22.

User slyuza reported that the area in front of the Giant hypermarket in Section 13 was submerged, urging drivers to exercise caution when passing through the affected lane. Another user, amiruddinsya_, shared that the Lebuhraya Lembah Klang Baru (NKVE) between Setia Alam and Shah Alam, in both directions, was closed due to the flooding.

Meanwhile, user nazriahm.ad reported at 3:30 AM that the highway around Section 13 remained closed, anticipating peak hour traffic congestion. User faraamcl shared updates on the congestion on the access road to Lebuhraya NKVE (E1) leading to Plaza Toll Shah Alam, as many commuters began using the route for their morning commute.

Additionally, user @plustrafik on X reported that the route from Lebuhraya Guthrie (GCE) to Plaza Toll Shah Alam was closed due to heavy rain, and drivers were advised to use alternative routes. However, all lanes on the Central East Interchange (ELITE) at the Shah Alam intersection from Seafield towards Setia Alam, which had been closed since the previous night, had been reopened but users were advised to exercise caution.
