After seeing these amazing images from the best film camera of the last decade, I’m definitely buying one (plus it comes in two new colours)

Lomography has marked its Lomo MC-A analog compact camera's first anniversary with the release of two limited-edition updated versions. One of the new versions features a glossy black, textured with genuine black leather, while the other boasts real brown leather and is plated with actual gold. These updated Lomo MC-A cameras come with additional accessories such as a leather strap, camera protector, and a leather pouch for filters.

The Lomo MC-A is a metal-bodied film camera with a sharp Minitar-II lens and full manual controls. It has garnered a 4.5-star review and was awarded Film Product of the Year at the 2026 Amateur Photographer Awards. The camera's 32mm f/2.8 retractable multi-coated glass lens offers a zone-based autofocus system, allowing it to focus at a minimum distance of 0.4m. It boasts a top-plate LCD for displaying settings information and a cute wind-on reminder.

Since its launch, the Lomo MC-A has undergone updates, making it easier to load, remembering previous settings at power-up, displaying settings information on the top LCD for an extended period, and favoring the F3.5 aperture setting in its auto program mode. This encourages a shallow depth of field.

To celebrate the milestone, Lomography has also released a collection of images taken around the world by various photographers using the Lomo MC-A with different Lomo-made film stocks. The use of these images helps showcase the camera's versatility and the stunning results achievable with it.
