2027: We won't allow what happened in 2023 to repeat itself - Atiku

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential hopeful Atiku Abubakar has vowed that his party will not allow the blunders of the 2023 election to recur in 2027. During an ADC presidential campaign rally in Sokoto State, Atiku called upon Nigerians to safeguard their votes and ensure they are accurately counted. He also criticized the state government for obstructing the ADC's efforts to kick off its presidential campaign flag-off.

Atiku expressed gratitude to the ADC leadership in Sokoto for allowing the event to proceed, despite the ruling party's opposition. He implored his supporters to turn out en masse and protect their votes, promising to restore security across the country and open borders for legitimate trade. Atiku further announced his intent to reinstate fuel subsidies, urging everyone to vote and ensure their votes are duly recorded and announced. He reiterated that the ADC will not permit the 2023 election mishaps to happen again.
