Uzochukwu Akunedozi Foundation holds annual meet, greet with scholarship beneficiaries

Chief Uzochukwu Akunedozi, the Founder and CEO of the Uzochukwu Akunedozi Foundation, hosted an annual meet and greet event for over 200 scholarship recipients at the Blake Resort in Abuja. The event aimed to provide one-on-one interactions with students from three secondary schools in the FCT who have been sponsored by the foundation.

Reiterating his commitment to the well-being of these students, Akunedozi expressed his joy in investing in their education, hoping to expand the program by identifying more students from poor backgrounds to sponsor. He encouraged the students to work hard, form good reading and writing habits, and avoid being distracted by social media and phones.

To streamline the process, Akunedozi appointed Miss Chibuzor Alaegbu as the new Director General of the foundation, with responsibilities including assessing each beneficiary's performance, getting to know each student by name, and serving as a liaison between the foundation, schools, and students. He also thanked the schools for their cooperation and pledged to recognize and reward excellent academic performance.

On behalf of the selected schools, the Vice Principal of GMSS Jikwoyi, Mr. Maji Labaran, expressed gratitude for Akunedozi's philanthropic efforts in supporting children from poor backgrounds. He also appealed for the foundation to assist the schools in acquiring a Computer Based Test (CBT) system in preparation for WAEC and NECO's transition to the new format.

The head girl of GMSS Jikwoyi, Akhere Favour Osemudiamen, and other beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Akunedozi for paying their school fees and providing them with opportunities to pursue their dreams. They promised to work diligently to repay his kindness and thanked him on behalf of their schools, families, and management.
