Usher Previews Sultry Remix of Drake & Loe Shimmy’s ‘I’m Spent’: ‘Got So Many Hits I Damn Near Almost Forget’
The HABIBTI hit peaked at No. 34 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Usher previewed a remix of Drake and Loe Shimmy's "I'm Spent" during an IG Live studio session on Monday. The remix features Usher's signature croon, as he spazzes out on the original track. He raps, "All I was tryna do was spazz out on this remix/ Got so many hits I damn near almost forget." It remains uncertain whether the remix will ever officially release or find its way onto Usher's next album.
His latest project, COMING HOME, was a Grammy nominee for best R&B album and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. "I'm Spent" was Drake's standout track from HABIBTI album, which reached No. 34 on the Billboard Hot 100, and marked Shimmy's first top 40 hit. Usher and Chris Brown are currently on their R&B Tour, which began on November 5 and will continue through November.
