Manchester United defied the odds to stage an incredible comeback in a Champions League match against Roma. The team appeared defeated early on, with Roma scoring two goals in just six minutes, including one from penalty spot. The atmosphere at Old Trafford turned sour, with players and fans protesting against the club's ownership.
Carlos Baleba's injury further compounded United's problems. However, Bruno Fernandes showcased his composure by scoring a crucial penalty after a Roma player encroached. Matheus Cunha equalized with a well-taken shot, despite Roma's Leonardo Balerdi making a mistake. In the dying moments of the game, Cunha was sent off for a second offense.
Despite the setback, United, backed by an enthusiastic crowd, managed to secure a remarkable win, ending their nine-game Champions League losing streak.
