Joe Igbokwe, a prominent figure within the All Progressives Congress (APC), has voiced his belief that President Bola Tinubu will not resort to electoral manipulation to secure his re-election in 2027. In an official Facebook post on Tuesday, Igbokwe declared that Tinubu would earn the support of Nigerians through his goodwill and good deeds.
He asserted, "PBAT will not win the 2027 elections by rigging. It is not in the cards. He will win the elections by good will." Igbokwe emphasized that every act of kindness has its rewards, and those who uplift others are sure to reap the benefits, a sentiment he attributed to divine intervention. This stance comes amidst growing concerns over potential electoral fraud as some opposition leaders have cautioned against manipulation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Notably, former Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege sparked a heated debate by warning that any attempt to rig the election could result in dire consequences, including the loss of life. Igbokwe's assertion is a stark contrast to the prevailing fears and serves as a reminder of the heightened tensions surrounding Nigeria's upcoming presidential polls.
