Siri AI Gets More Capable in iOS 27.3

Apple is enhancing Siri's AI capabilities in iOS 27.3, now available to developers. Siri can now perform more intricate tasks across a wide range of apps, including Calendar, Files, Finder, Journal, Mail, Maps, Messages, Music, Notes, Photos, Preview, Reminders, Safari, Shortcuts, and Weather. To learn what Siri can accomplish within each app, users can inquire about the available options.

In Mail, for instance, Siri can help users unsubscribe from mailing lists and undo messages that have been recently sent. In Weather, Siri has the ability to add locations to the user's weather list and manage weather notifications. In Safari, Siri can clear browsing history, organize tabs and windows, save articles to a Reading List, and close duplicate tabs.

Within Files, Siri can help organize content, delete files that have not been accessed for a certain period, and more. Apple is also broadening Siri's language support to Traditional Chinese, Vietnamese, Turkish, and Norwegian, and introducing a Developer Preview that allows any developer to integrate their app with Siri's AI. Apple notes that any app can incorporate its content and functions directly into Siri's AI through App Intents.

Siri can execute any custom actions implemented by developers, and now offers skills to enable users to teach Siri how to combine multiple actions into a single, seamless experience.
