Negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, along with representatives from the United States, are expected to resume next week in Abu Dhabi, according to US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, who shared the news on the X platform. The two-day talks will focus on post-war security arrangements, de-escalation, humanitarian aid, and the path to peace.

This is a continuation of previous meetings held in Geneva and Abu Dhabi. US diplomats will also meet with European states, NATO, and EU representatives in Brussels this week to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine, Europe's post-war security order, and reconstruction efforts. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenskyj warned that Russia may launch a massive attack on key infrastructure during the US midterm elections, as attention will likely shift from the conflict.

Meanwhile, Selenskyj expressed concern over a Russian airstrike near Saporischschja that killed at least 26 people, alleging a targeted bombing of a Ukrainian school. He accused Russia of deliberately bombing the location, where residents were receiving humanitarian aid weekly. Selenskyj referred to the incident as a "treacherous terrorist attack."

The Ukrainian warning system against potential Russian airstrikes was reportedly hacked by Russia itself, causing false alerts to Ukrainian citizens. Selenskyj emphasized that such cyberattacks aim to harm civilians. Additionally, 2,800 soldiers from 11 countries are participating in a joint military exercise in Poland, aimed at testing post-war peacekeeping measures. The US-led exercise, involving Britain and France, will run until November 22nd.
