Peak Design built a compact travel wireless charger that still has 15W of power when away from an outlet – and a new tiny wall block

Peak Design, a brand known for camera bags and travel tripods, has recently launched a line of charging essentials. The most notable product is the Kickstand Travel battery, which serves as both a wireless charger and a portable battery. When not connected to a power source, the kickstand offers 15W of charging power with a 5000mAh battery.

However, when plugged in, the power increases to 25W. The device can also serve as a smartphone kickstand compatible in both horizontal and vertical orientations with MagSafe. It can also operate as a slim MagSafe backup battery when folded, and the USB-C port allows for charging another device from its built-in battery. Peak Design claims the Kickstand Travel Battery as the world's first Qi2.3-certified wireless charger.

The company also introduced a 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Station, which replaces the built-in battery of the Kickstand Travel Battery with two wireless charging pads. This unit folds flat for travel and includes a USB-C port for wired charging for a third device. The two charging pads launch alongside a new wall block, named Dual Slim Charger, which measures just 1.3 cm thick.

This block has two USB-C ports with equal power allocation, ensuring no fast or slow side. The Dual Slim Charger is accompanied by new cables featuring a woven jacket for durability, a lifetime guarantee against fraying and breaking, and a clip for packing. These cables come in various lengths and versions for 60W and a more expensive 240W option for high-draw devices like laptops and gaming consoles.

Peak Design has a history of launching charging accessories, including a folding wireless charging stand, MagSafe car mounts, and accessories designed for use with their own phone cases. Pre-orders for several of these accessories are open on Peak Design's online store, with the Kickstand Travel Battery and 2-in-1 charging stand priced at $99.95 / £84.99 / AU$199.95 / CA$139.95 each. Bundles that include a cable and wall block are priced higher.
