Pat McAfee draws Joe Scarborough’s wrath over College GameDay on Election Day
Willie Geist and Jonathan Lemire joined the criticism as a new column compared the ESPN show’s direction to MrBeast’s chase for viewers.
On Election Day, Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough criticized ESPN's Pat McAfee for taking over College GameDay, stating that McAfee has overshadowed the show's longtime stars. Scarborough expressed his frustration with McAfee ruining College GameDay, saying he looks forward to watching the show on Saturday mornings. The ESPN star's push for more time on the show has buried a cast he enjoys, including host Rece Davis and analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Nick Saban.
Scarborough also linked McAfee's on-air persona to politics, joking that McAfee "yelled at people and was freaked out because two kids in Utah put up signs or say something that might offend you."
