One UI 9 is finally on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but Samsung held back the best features
7 years of updates, but you only get a select few features
One UI 9 became available on the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra in October, but certain features were omitted. The S24 Ultra received Call Brief, custom Now Brief cards, My FanCam, and other enhancements, yet it lacks several notable tools. Some of the absent features include a notification summarizer that pushes important notifications to the top, turning the phone into a webcam, Super Steady mode for smoother video recording, 24MP photos, and a dual camera recording mode.
These features are present in the S25 and S26, but Samsung provides no clear explanation for their exclusion on the S24 Ultra. Despite having strong hardware capabilities, Samsung may be employing an exclusivity strategy to maintain a distinct advantage for newer devices.
