Lavrov Rejects Ukraine Ceasefire Proposals, Claims Kyiv Wants Time to Rearm
Sergei Lavrov dismissed Ukrainian proposals for an immediate ceasefire and narrower truces covering energy, food supplies, airspace and maritime activity. He claimed such agreements would allow Kyiv to rebuild its military strength with foreign support, while insisting that Moscow wanted a settlement addressing what it calls the conflict’s “root causes.”
