Rotimi Amaechi, the African Democratic Congress presidential running mate, recounted how former President Olusegun Obasanjo's threat compelled him to flee Nigeria for Ghana. In a video on X, Amaechi explained that Obasanjo threatened him during an attempt to prevent him from becoming the governor of Rivers State. Amaechi, now the first and only Nigerian to be declared governor without proper election, urged young Nigerians to take up leadership roles.
He emphasized that the youth population is larger than that of the elders, and they have the power to turn the political tide in Nigeria.
