FG begins Commonwealth scholarship interviews for 2,000 Nigerians

The Federal Government has initiated the selection process for the 2027/2028 Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan, with over 2,000 Nigerian applicants participating in nomination interviews. The interviews, which commenced at the opening ceremony in Abuja, are a face-to-face assessment where a national panel evaluates shortlisted candidates and selects the strongest candidates for recommendation to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission for final consideration for awards.

The scholarship, established in 1959, has produced more than 30,000 beneficiaries globally, and the Ministry of Education is committed to presenting outstanding scholars who will sustain Nigeria's reputation in the scholarship programme.
