Emery takes positives - but Villa 'have work to do' to reach Barca level
Aston Villa boss Unai Emery says his team have "work to do" to reach Barcelona's level after a 3-0 Champions League defeat at the Nou Camp.
Unai Emery expressed both frustration and disappointment following Aston Villa's 2-0 loss to Barcelona in their Champions League tie. Villa fell behind early in the match and struggled to equalize, despite creating several chances. The defeat marked Emery's 16th loss out of 16 games against Barcelona, with just three victories in 31 attempts.
Despite the setback, Villa remains committed to proving they belong on the stage with the current La Liga leaders and five-time European champions. The head coach emphasized the need for improvement and the success the team has achieved under his leadership since taking over from Villarreal.
